My name is Marco Terry and I manage a factoring company. I created the factoring glossary for one simple reason – the terms used in the industry can be confusing to clients.
For example, in the industry, the terms client and customer have different meanings and should not be used interchangeably. Also, some people use the terms factoring, invoice factoring and A/R factoring to mean different products, even though they mean the same thing. This often causes misunderstandings.
This objective of the glossary is to help people that are researching factoring and provide accurate definitions for all the terms that are used in the industry.
